The man's best friend. Dogs were the first animals to be domesticated by man. Long before the beginnings of agriculture, long before the major human migrations, the dog was always close to man. For hunting, for protection, for companionship. What humans can't see, dogs can feel. 

 At what point in our history did dogs become our best friends? Scientists are still hesitating. Somewhere between 15,000 and 40,000 years ago, the moment when the dog realized that the man couldn't see the evil spreading in the darkness. Because yes, evil exists, and it takes many forms.

 Cosmic forces, ancient and immortal, strive to corrupt the hearts of living species. While man is blind to this danger, the dog guards, protects and defends. You will play this dog. 

"Like a howl in the night" is a supplement that lets players embody dogs that are "smarter" than the average beast. In this fictional story, dogs are investigators, detectives, and fighters against evil. An evil that can take many forms, as you might imagine in any role-playing game. On a daily basis, these 4-legged companions are faithful pets. But while their masters look the other way, they are defending their homes and solving mysteries.
